WHAT HAPPENED?
Dele made his Como debut against AC Milan, coming off the bench for Cesc Fabregas' side. However, he was sent off within 10 minutes after appearing to rake his studs down the heel of Ruben Loftus-Cheek in midfield. Former team-mate Kyle Walker attempted to stop the referee from showing the ace a red card, but his argument was to no avail.

Now, Dele has broken his silence with a post on Instagram, claiming that he would rather have marked his return with a goal. The former Tottenham star had not played since February of 2023, when he appeared for Besiktas against Antalyaspor.

On Instagram, Dele wrote: "I was always going to announce my return in some way after these past 2 years, would rather it had been with a goal. But feels good to be back!"
